07ish Cobalt

I have technically on 07 cobalt, with the 06 radio, 06 headlights.... And i don't know what else. It's a manual base model, anyone come across anything like this? I assumed it's been an 06 the entire life based on headlight alone but I have coil on plug ignition. First tell-tale with made me delve deeper and a simple look at the VIN indicated 07. Makes buying electrical parts a bit more difficult. I'm going to look at my ecu later and see if I have the delphi unit or not. Just a PITA.

Huh? it has to be an 07 radio. 07 Ecu will not communicate with anything but E37 compatible components.

Just look at the build date on the door tag. Did you buy it new, maybe it was in a wreck? And whats the difference between an 06 and 07 radio?

build date is 06/07. After i started the thread (whoooops) I delved a little deeper. I have the 07 radio.... but as I was trying to replace the pass headlight i realized it seemed like an 05-06? I'm just going to have to reground everything and order a headlight loom from the stealership.

05-06 headlights have the amber signal lense, 07-10 have the clears I believe. Like another said, it was probably replaced. Buddy of mine has one of each style on his car, looks dumb lol
