You're offering a service...thats why he locked it. If you had some you had already done and sold those as parts, it would be different. I'll be suprised if you don't get banned.

I would be cautious about getting a bigger TB myself. Unless it could be proved that the stock TB is a choke point for airflow, I wouldn't get it. If the stock TB is fine, all a bigger one would do is slow the velocity of the air traveling to the engine.

bykryder, do you have a picture of the ported one vs a stock one? And could you host it on css.net? (Work blocks everything else for me) Thanks.

I don't have a problem with you. I think its foolish to make a thread exactly like the one that got locked without clarifying why it got locked with a mod. That make sense..?? I read it and reread it and I'm not sure....

If you had a ported throttle body in your possession and were selling that one, it wouldn't look like you are offering a service without having to pay for the privilege of paying for it like the supporting vendors do. Does that make sense..?? I am all for you offering a ported throttle body, just not for soliciting.

without paying...I forgot that part...

ok well im not a business i do not obtain a tax id number which clairafies im a business i do not have a store front or a website so im not a vendor or a business just a little info for ya

if they were to charge me they would have to charge everyone selling parts on the for sale section of the site like i said i do not obtain any of the above stated facts it would be illegal to make me pay since im not a business owner

The title of this thread is soliciting. This is in the rules, does this apply to you..??
Buying and Selling – Private party sellers may offer to sell individual items. No person, company, or business of any size shell attempt to sell merchandise, products, or services of any retail nature, or to make a profit of any kind. Anyone attempting to sell multiple quantities of items or in a retail/profit nature without being a Supporting Vendor of this site will be in violation of this site's rules and Terms of Use.

You have got to be the thickest person on this forum.

First of all, CSS.net is not a business therfore the BBB doesn't give a flying f**k
Second of all, you're selling more than one item so therefore the CSS admins have deemed you a vendor of products, take it up with the admin or deal with it..

Geez man.

He doesn't solicit though. People know about what he does and they do business through PMs. His exposure (and others) comes from people posting about how they like the product. It would be like if I posted a link from a performance shop saying how I liked their work. There is nothing wrong about it because the shop itself didn't solicit.

Since it seems the message was recieved the first time...

You can not offer a service without being a vendor.
