2.2 Tuning By a GM Service Tech?

Okay; I work @ the chevrolet dealer in my town as a salesman; and i was talking with him this morning; and he said that he thinks he can laptop tune my car! but; i dont know if he can or not; he said we gotta buy a liscense for it; so i think he's using HPTuner....but I really am not sure...

if nothing else; he said he could remove rev limiter; speed governor; and advance the timing on the car (because the car has the Cam Positioning Sensor).............all that's done to my little 2.2 is I/H/E....thinking of DP; but IDK if it will give me signifigant enough gains to fool with....

anyway; has anyone else done this? or is he just trying to fish me outta some $$ for no reason because it can't be done...anybody know?

Last I talked with HP they Cannot tune the 05/05 L61, however If you have an 07 he made be able to tune that seeing as how the 07 has the same PCM as the SS that year. But i have no confirmation of the release

As far as i know there is no tuning for a 2.2 Cobalt period... And not with HP tuners thats for sure, if you do decide to do it take it and get dyno'd and then do it and get dyno'd again...

No tuning for 05/06 is available, They change the PCM in 07 to match the SSS/c.

The support for the 07 L61 hasn't actually been released yet. Any software version he currently has won't read it. Soon...

Okay, stop. I don't know why you think they have the same PCM's because they don't. They never have.
