pulley* **** i'm having issue this morning

 

Started with the stage 1 and then bought the 3.1 pulley seperate.

 

270 for a fuel pump? lol? just get a 255 for $100?

 

do those retain the fuel level sender?

 

idk is the 2.2 pump diff than the lsj? cause i know of multiple switches to them..

 

the two look exactly alike which in turn they look nothing like any of the 255 pics i have seen thus far.

 

I know some small modification was used not sure what it all entailed but..forget where I even saw one put in. Darkman maybe? lol.

 

i'm not trying to give you the short-end. i'm trying to figure out if it's worth buying. i like my dd functionality and knowing how much fuel you're sittin on is key.

 

no doubt i can't recall where i saw it but i know i saw a 255 shoved in a canister somewhere on here or rlf

 

Turns out the fuel pump was fine and the fuel rail was getting full pressure. Somehow to do to my ghetto wiring, the injector fuse (10A) got damaged and it also controls the ignition and it was just loose so it was fixed at no cost.

Yeah but need to find a new way to wire my gauges and **** instead of jamming them into a fuse spot LOL.

 

Come over we'll figure it out lol... I know a good place to wire them

 

im glad mines still under warrenty, im about to have mine replaced for the second time under warrenty, first time the car wasnt supercharged, my alternator went out like 2 months ago and the low voltage damaged the pump, the replaced the alternator under warrenty so they have to replace the pump also

 

get add a fuse or a tap a fuse ATM Mini Add Circuit Line Fuse Plug Tap Block TSI - eBay (item 150499845059 end time Nov-27-10 11:03:13 PST)

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that that's what he has lol unless he literally tried to jam multiple fuses into one spot

 

i've seen wires stuck in a fuse spot and run with an in-line fuse.

 

lmao. yea. i forgot there's no hope for some people

 

i've seen a guy run a nitrous system without relays or a proper window switch. he used his best judgement......lol.

 

thats what I do LOL. I pick a fuse, pull it, push my wire in and then push the fuse back in to complete the circuit lol.

 

i hope to hell not. if you do it as a test i can understand. if you rely on that as an actual solution it's a real problem waiting to happen.

 

I'm rewiring it all tomorrow, so it should be a bit more reliable.

 

i only use the add a fuse like in the link posted. it simplifies wiring installs and can be used again for sume other system so they keep in the tool box. good look on the wring too it can be a pain to get it right but if you take your time you know your **** wont fail or start a fire. and zip-ties ftmfw. don't leave no loose wires.

 

Got everything rewired. Since I am at school for mechanics its nice to have free all-data database and have wiring schematics. Spliced my radio into the ignition switch power wire and then tapped my gauges into the radio for power and soldered everything and its all legit now.
