i don't know about actual HP gains but some torque is definite!

and WOW, that is a dumb statement, sorry man. NO WAY!
How easy is the resonator to remove?

its just one clamp sround the part that sits on the TB its even extended outward to make it easier, then all you need is a hard tube to go from the intake box to the TB, and a 90 angle peice to connect it. i would recomend this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cobra...spagenameZWD1V
since it sits lower than a normal elbow, and still gives plenty of air flow. thats what i used

Man I had no idea people would be trippin over this post. I love it! Yea torque for sure. I have to get rid of that intake resinator as well too. Have you noticed at increase or decrease in gas mileage. And everyone please post your number as well with this.. I can't wait to see what we get out of this mod.

I did that **** when I first got my car. Mileage has stayed the same, and its a bit more responsive and a tad louder in the cab.

look up the airbox mod thread and a few others... this was done, like i said, over a year ago. i believe the gains and mileage factors are in the other thread. this is very old news.

NO, cuz you can go back and re-install it in under 20 minutes.

I'd say it depends on what you are brining it in for. its hardly noticeable unless you take the headlight off.

they might wonder about the sound? I get free oil changes so I take the car in every 5000kms. I'll take it off, if they say anything, i just put it back on everytime I take it in. Can't see them being dicks about it.

I wouldnt worry about it at all.. The guy doing the oil changes is probably never going to notice anyways, plus he would even know why it makes that noise. Plus its not noticable unless you drive the car and get on it.

b4

after... no wheel hop.." my 1/8 mile got glitched some how... going to reflash my hawk.."

here is my data log with some spirited driving nd some normal driving...

I'm trying to figure out those images. I'm not familiar with DashHawk software at all. By comparing before and after RPM's vs. Speed I don't see much difference.

So wait, stupid question, if i remove this, do I have to add anything? Like a pipe or something to bridge the gap that there is going to be?

Logically it makes sense it would be better by not having the restriction of the silencer but I would like to see some numbers. I am bugged because it was supposed to down pour like monstrous so I didnt do this tonight.... well it never rained.

...X.... No, there are vents from the fog lights right there that will let air in, plus all this did was point up towards your headlight basically pulling in the air that came in under the housing and from the side of the radiator

basically the blue line is a o2 sensor u can see the drop off between the b4 nd after... thus... less restriction

after further looking at my data log from b4 nd after... i noticed that the intake temp was cooler.. but only by 5-10 degrees.... so it prolly makes some difference.. but not enough to truly feel it to the wheels... honestly all i noticed was my car is louder.." witch i liked.." i did drive around town 2 day nd some chick asked me how many hp i had... lol

I guess only the dyno will tell.. it does sound better, My cousin rode with me tonight and noticed the difference without me even telling him i did something to it, so loudness yes its noticeable. i think it is more noticeable on a completely stock car than one with some modz done to it already. My next question for everyone that did this mod is, how much more or less fuel are they using.
