2.4 intake manifold problem
2.4 intake manifold problem
put everything in correctly..but when you fire it up for the first 10 seconds its fine..then the engine just boggs down...im thinking this might be that the map sensor needs pressed in more..any ideas?
hmmmm i just installed mine yesterday and didnt have that but weirdd this might sound crazy but maybe do it again? take it back apart quick(doesnt take too long) and reassemble making sure you did everything, and did you make sure the battery was unplugged when you did it? i forget where i read it someone correct me if i am wrong but i thought you need to not only for safety but so the air flow sensors could readjust or something?
When I installed mine I replaced the break booster hose. In the process I damaged the seal were the hose connects to the master cylinder. That caused the vacume leak for me. But nothing a little super glue couldn't fix.
thanks for all the advice guys..and no i didnt have the battery off...also after doing this header/dp when it first starts up and i drive it its like it wants to go into limp mode for a few seconds then its ok..should i just unplug the battery and reset the ecu
diconnect the battery for a few seconds, then when you start it let it run idle for a few minutes before you drive it to adjust, doesnt have to be too long.....when i did mine i started it, ran inside and showered and stuff real quick then came back out for the test drive(and what a nice test drive that was
)
I never had that problem with the headers. make sure you got no leaks and I'd reset the ecu.
