2.4 k&n on my 2.2?

since the k&n typhoon intake has been on back order for our 2.2s i sort of gave up hope and decided to go with an injen cai. i remember reading somewhere though that the k&n for the 2.4 will fit on our 2.2s. i couldnt find where i read that again so i just wanted to make sure before i buy one. so is this possible?

the 2.2 intakes are STILL ON BACK ORDER?!

i tried to order one through CobaltAddiction back in November only to be told that they were backordered. and it's now JUNE. jesus.

K&N needs to get their **** together. this is ridiculous.

im not 100% sure they are still on backorder, but i havent heard anyone get one in a long time. i read something about one of their warehouses burning down and them possibly not making any for the 2.2 anymore. i hope they have the 2.4 sri still in stock or im going cai.

yeah the only thing you'd have to worry about at all was the SAI, in which case you could have rigged something up like i did for my injen. either way its not hard. it cost me 15$ for a filter and a ziptie. lol

but! dont look at the claims that it makes 16horse and expect it to do the same for a 2.2.

the gains will be almost the same. people just like the 2.4 model cause its a different color and has a better heat shield.
