don't bother. for the cost, you can either have a nasty little 2.2 built, OR trade it in on a 2.4

its not worth it just for that much of an hp gain. we dont own civics, so theres not 57 working engines sitting in a junkyard down the street for 400 bucks each:P

That and there is less aftermarket for that motor right now besides having tuning capabilities.

But of course, it's all personal preference.

ROFL That's so true.

It'd be interesting to try to get VVT to work on a 2.2. Probably not worth the time or money, but interesting. As far as a swap... if you're going to swap go for the 2.0S/C, it'd be about the same price and you'd get plenty extra hp.

I probably wont do it. Just curious. I'm actually all bout investing in the 2.2 and being a good contender against 2.0's !! We're the underdogs !!

Its possible! Theres 4 "doors" in the revolving door assembly. 2 Will always open for "escape" purposes. So you can slam them back into place (actually thats how you do it)

nah, it won't. the main reason that the 2.4 has a wider bore is that the valves are different on the head. so, you'd have to bore over the 2.2 slightly to make it work. in truth, if power is the goal, you might as well just have your 2.2 head worked over and cammed. probably less money for more power.

Still possible

For the money spent in switching over the motor right now within a year you can spend less and have a turbo or supercharger.

Anything is possible but IMO your return of conribution will not pay off.

Drop an old 5.0L Mustang GT Engine and Drivetrain in the car.. That'll turn heads
