2.4 SS cams in a 2.2

I was just wondering if anyone has tried the 2.4 SS cams in a 2.2 and if so did you need a tune and did you gain any power? I am thinking about doing this mod in the future and am not sure if it's worth the time and the money.

If you want cams, go with the Comp ones. I don't know if the LE5 cams will even work in the L61 head.

I know I wasn't sure if they would work but I know that I would be able to get factory SS cams cheaper than comp cams and I'm sure you will need a tune with those cams also I just figured that you may not need a tune with the factory SS cams because there not as aggressive.

They are designed for a completely different engine though.

You don't need a tune to run Comp stage 1 cams anyways. A tune would help bring out more power, but it isn't neccessary.

yea go with the aftermarket cams you will get more power out of it because it is design for the 2.2L motor and once you do that you can get it tuned by vinced from trifecta cuz he does great work.

I think they are out of Washington. The tune is $275 and you get it by e-mail.

TTR has them. http://www.turbotechracing.com/produ...idproduct=2450

You don't need to take the head or valves off. If you take the valve cover off you have access to them.
