AC Delete on my 2.2 G5.

Symptoms:
-Car almost stalls when AC is turned on
-Recently, the car starts almost stalling when the vents are turned on (AC turned off)
-I can hear the AC Compressor making bearing noises while driving occasionally.

I don't have the money to get this fixed, and the AC in my Z28 works beautifully, I'm reading in other threads that I will lose my ability to defrost windows if I choose to remove the pump instead of fixing it, is this true or Internet blasphemy?

Also, I grabbed this picture from another thread.

Will I need a different accessory belt after I remove the AC? What's the best way to get rid of it?

You sure its not the pressure in the A/C lines being too high? (sometimes you can have excessive air in the lines) Which will make the compressor harder to turn & causing more "drag" than normal on the engine.. Might want to check that out.

Either way my compressor would be considered no good? there still is pressure in the lines, but the noise coming from the compressor just screams, "kill me"

Best bet is to gut the compressor housing if you want to make it function like and idler.

Why not just unplug the compressor clutch wire so it doesn't engage?

you might be able to defrost still but its going to take longer and might not even work

the compressor uses the A/C system to remove water from the air

and you might be stalling from a dirty TB
