Air Intake. Should I get it?
I am on a tight budget, and I have been looking at this cold air intake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this particular one. I was PMing someone about it, but just wanted a second opinion. I will be adding a Tsudo N1 exhaust (non negotiable) and I don't want to sacrifice the sound. The last thing I want is that stupid tin can sound to it, but making it louder and/or deeper would be fine with me.
Also, should I be worried about the plastic/rubber hose? The stock air filter/ intake hose is plastic, correct?

Man, think about it, you have an expensive car, and cheaping out on something like this could really stick it to you. Definitely wait till you have 200+ dollars to buy a real one, seriously, that intake is in no way designed for a car.
Don't get anything other than AEM, K+N, GMPP, or Injen IMO. I'd also suggest short ram. There's a kid in another forum who almost drown his srt4 with a full intake+big puddle. Plus short ram usually gives better sound and throttle response.
WOW this thread is exploding pretty quick off the line, thanks for the help so far...
good price, how's the performance?

Buy it before they run out. They went quick the first time around.
What? Should have added a smiley face.
Listen unless you love a name like AEM or K&N I would for sure go with the Ebay intake. If it breaks in a year then buy another and you are still half what a name brand costs. I had no issues after 7 months and loved the sound to death. No CEL from the ebay intake either.

If you like sucking in hot engine air, go short ram. Sounds good, but you don't get the full benefits compared to cold air.
