Alt bracket and tensioner for s/c swap

I've been having trouble finding the alt bracket and tensioner for the s/c swap. I may have found the tensioner, but I dont know if it will have the alt bracket with it. So I was wondering how much of a necessity is it o have the tensioner and alt bracket, or just the alt bracket. Can I just run the tensioner without the alt bracket? Do I even need either? Can I just run a custom belt setup?

I had someone tell me to do a custom routed belt but I cant wrap my head around how to make it work. So Im wondering if yall would have some good information for me to use.

I would say try and find both. Just going to be easier.

The tensioner mounts to the alt bracket.

Well I found a guy who has a ZZP adjustable tensioner with the strut for sale for like $75. I mean that by itself is cheaper than buying it new from ZZP. Its obviously a bit more expensive then buying a stock tensioner, but it has the benefits of being the adjustable version. I just have to lock down the deal on that. Then I have a friend that could probably get me the alt bracket at dealer cost if I absolutely have to have it. I know GMPartsDirect has the bracket for like $60, but Idk how close that is to dealer cost.

Nice, could you post up the p/n to the tensioner? I am tired of looking for one used.
