Question Bolt on trannys

So some of you might have seen my annoying ass in some threads, and may know that I'm doing an S/C build in the spring. If you didnt now ya do. I havent seen this topic brought up that much but is there a tranny that would swap directly into my 07 LT? Gotta auto and next summer I plan on upgrading internals for more boost, and wanna know if theres an auto tranny that'll go into the car that's better/can take more abuse. I know ours are regulated up to 360 lbs of torque. But if you were close to that would it run shitty?

being an SC you wont hit anywhere near 360 lbs of torque, on a 2.8 i beleieve my friend only made like 230lb of tq. so your stock tranny should be fine.

Takes a lot of power and torque to mess up this trans.

Even if I were to compete in some autoX events? James said he'd be able to workout a tune that would make the car downshift at certain speeds/rpms

yes. as long as it is well lubricated and warmed up prior to beating on it, you'll be fine. it's the moving components you'll need to worry about

Yes he can. I did a full track weekend in 90 degree weather. My trans is still fine.

2.8 pulley supercharged.
