Boost leak? belt slip?

Just recently supercharged my 2.2 and i've run into an issue.

First off, the hose that came with my boost gauge (glowshift) was too short to reach my IM nipple so I just capped it until I could get another hose. Up until now the only issue I've had is my shifting (obviously tune related) and sometimes it dies at stoplights which until now i assumed was also tune related. BUT today i finally hooked up my boost gauge and nothing. Gauge doesn't move hardly at all. Only way it moves is if I rev it really fast and hard and even then it peaks around 5 psi and immediately drops back down to zero. Driving it, it seems like i've got boost but coming from nearly stock im not sure if i'd know the difference lol IMO it doesn't seem like belt slip but I used the ZZP set up with zzp's 5 rib 3.1 inch pulley and have already gone through 3 belts finding one that fits the best so I wouldnt be too surprised i guess. Landed on 70.5 inch 5 rib btw and the next step down that i could find is 69.5 inch 6 rib but im afraid that would be too small. I looked on ZZP's website for the belt size and all it said was "custom belt size" I haven't really had a chance to to mess with it yet so, seeing as so many people have sc'd, I figured maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

Also, I know i have an exhaust leak. Its a gasket after my resonator and before my muffler. I know exhaust leaks can affect it but I assumed with it being where it is that it wouldn't matter.

Also, gm stage 2 belt is what you should be running... And you need to cut one rib off if you didn't know that...

The gm stage 2 belt is one of the ones i tried. it was too short and too thick to fit between the idler pulley and belt tensioner without rubbing (Im using the zzp spacer/idler pulley that comes with their sc kit). seemed like the easier and cheaper option at the time but im beginning to regret it. lol

first off, you should have a vac/boost gauge... second, your car needs to be under a load in order for it to go into boost...

So i went and played with my bypass valve to make sure it had free movement. Little stiff but i didn't notice any sticking. took it for a drive again and now its working just fine! got all the way up to 11 psi on the gauge. I guess i'll give her some lube and hope that was the problem lol but i am curious about the vac/boost gauge
