What's up guys so I've had a misfire code cyl 4 and a catalyst code for about 9 months now and I'm 2 months overdue on my inspection so its time to get this taken care of.. Had the master tech at my shop run a leakdown and cyl 4 is running at 90% INefficiency with about 70,000 misfire codes thrown total.. Taking the head and cams out here in a couple days to have a machine shop replace all 8 exhaust valves just to be safe. Also gonna replace valve cover gasket, head gasket and possibly head studs as I'm reaching 111,000 on the odo. My questions are.. Is there anything I need to look out for or any special tools or anything additional that I should replace while I'm in there? I know I'm going to have to remove the timing chain which makes me somewhat nervous but should I throw a new tchain on too or is it not necessary? I plan to supercharge within the next few months so I want to do as much preventative maintenance as possible. Any help is appreciated thanks guys!
