CAN ANYONE ANSWER MY FREAKING QUESTION
remove TB, buy throttle body cleaner or engine degreaser or anything else like that, spray, use paper towels and Q-tips for the hard to reach corners near the throttle blade.
Be gentle, dont spray anything you dont have to (IE the outside of the TB)

Alright back up here a bit, first of all, you have your boost guage hooked up wrong if you had no vacuum reading. No vacuum, no compression, no run...
Your wastegate needs to be hooked up to the hot side charge pipe, or directly off the turbo snout really anywhere in the charge piping as long as it's before the throttle body.. You BOV and boost gauge need to be on a vacuum source below the throttle plates. On your car you have few choices. My car has a vacuum port that was capped just below the throttle body on you intake manifold, i used that for my stuff and it works great, but if you have a 2.4 mani, that is not there, so you could tap the line going to the brake booster, or even the line going the evap purge solenoid on the side of the head. Vacuum leaks are a headache sometimes... Did Vince say your fuel trims were reading lean by chance?
Also, i think you may have another problem which maven pointed out that has to do with that emissions fuse. You need to figure out what blew that fuse!!!

If your boosting fine I can't see it being a vacuum leak...I had a small crack in my brakebooster hose where it plugs into the sc, caused a bad lean spike between 6-7k rpm... Took me a mo th to find out what it was...but like suggested above clean out the tb, I doubt it's a leak thru ur piping as it's only at idle not at wot....idk about u guys but if my maf's see's 30lbs of air going thru it. And that air dissappears, it's not happy...especially if I'm at wot....mauphin u still have my #? shoot me a txt tommorow we can bounce some troubleshooting ideas back and forth

ok that's the bypass valve coming off the pipe after the turbo. This is where garrett called for it to go. theres a nipple on the boost gauge that goes to the wastegate.

the tiny line goes to the pipe there, do i need to put that tiny line from the piping to the wastegate and then run another line for my boost gauge and my bypass to another vac source?
ok I can answer this ? for you.
Put one vac line from the wastegate to the nipple on the ic piping coming off the turbo (going over the valve cover)
No I see you have an 05-06 so your intake manifold has a nipple on it for a vaccum source. that that nipple and put a vac line on it. Run it out like 4-5 inches and put a T in there. Then one end of the T put a vac line going to BOV and the other end of T goes to Boost Gauge.
I have the same turbo kit!
PM for anyother ?'s

i re-routed and fixed the vac reading and the sound of the bov is correct now it was a lutter before. It's still leaning out in aceleration though? Did i fix it from turning off i onyl drove it a few minutes but it was smoother and didnt die
datalog and have vince look at it?
If u have a bad vac source BOV's are very tempremental. They need a perfect vac source to release the air the correct way or they will flutter and it will sound like compressor surge. Like the BOV is not opening up the whole way and air is going back into the turbo.
ok its a bov now not a turkey. will that surge make the car freak out and turn off though? this is the original problem and im waiting for vince to reply. I think its fixed but idk could that cause the whole problem.
mine is plugged in. was yours dying only on idle? or was it during driving. i had a blown emmisions fuse awhile ago but my cars air flow tables are wrong and vince is working on them. is the whole on the MAf suppose to point towards the engine or where air comes in?
Arrow is supposed to point the direction of air flow
problem is fixed. i have battery issues still it says check charge systema dn no power under artial throttle. th car is gonna be gone if this isnt fixed soon. we need a car for me to drive to school and the weather sucks here so ill have an suv if anythng
