All motor 2.2 rebuild almost done
Well i snapped an I valve, bent two (1I,1E) and killed the spark plug (all on 4) with my timing being out. So i get workin on the car last nite to get ready to pull the head and took off my intake manifold to hear **** rattling around in there... its the bottom of my valve, part of the guide, and part of the spark plug... along with a bunch of coolant and a lil gas. So basically my head is fucked. The whole cylinder is full of coolant so my best guess is the broken pieces gashed into the head where coolant runs and now i got a big leak
just a nice pic of the motor
cylinder 4 with fucked up valve n coolant
another shot of vavle n coolant
two across from each other that a fucked/bent
top view of fucked up valves

haha it WAS gettin ready to turn blue
thanks, ill try
Even with 12-14° of Knock Retard it still pulled harder than a stock ss/sc
think i need a new angle vavle job on 4? maybe a little tig welds will fix it? more pics when i get the head off after i get back from my buddies funeral

Just because welds are sometimes stronger than the metal itself. You have to think about this your heating the head up to extreme temperatures, and the weakest part of the weld is where the metal meets the weld.
I just don't trust welding something that critical.

So how did this happen? Did you just not check the timing? Or did you somehow mess it up without knowing? Didn't you hear anything?
Also, why are you using green coolant? No DexCool?

Get a spare head from a junkyard or something. Then just throw your vavesprings and cams onto that. That is assuming your pistons/sleeves are fine, probably are.
That would probably be your cheapest bet.

well the car was "in time" according to my mechanic. never trustin him again. and the **** just broke on its own, the timing was off like 2-3 teeth. i just spent 1100 on that head for the porting and polish. i dont got money to throw away like some do so if i get a new head it wont be ported
