i went to high school with a kid whose parents were loaded...he went through two clutches and a trans in a 06 si in 3 months...probaby less than 5000miles, of course he was a douchetard who didnt know how to drive let alone a manual but still. i think its pretty good that some guys go to the strip and pull low 13s and drive it home on a stock lsj clutch

Why does everyone hate the spec clutches? What is so bad about them?

Got another question, would it be ok if i got a slave cylinder/throwout bearing off line? I was talking to a buddy of mine who said that if i did it would be shitty and that i should get one from chevy. Any suggestions?

Go with stock, I dont think they even exist aftermarket. Fill the slave first before installing it you will thank me later. Also vacuum bleed it from the reservoir its much easier than pumping the peddle and takes alot less time. but its not fun at all, ive done it 3 times already You also most likely cant find a cap that will seal to the reservoir for the bleeder. Just use duct tape to make a seal on the reservoir its cheap and easy to find
