it's a simple question. what does jdm stand for? i didn't ask about the japanese characters. you can go ahead and tell me what they stand for if you'd like.

Wow. This thread has come a long way looks like someone can't get how many years they have been drag racing straight. I've been driving on public roads for 10 years. Does that count?

haha nah, i'm not even mad at him. i'm just wondering why he would use JDM when he has a domestic. i'm curious about the SRT thing as well. i know it stands for santos racing team but can't they be more original in naming their clubs?

wow, i ran a better time with a heavy system in my car when i was stock, at 1000 miles, than you think your intake is gonna do for you
cut the jdm ****, unless your car club is called jdm, and it stands for somethin other than japanese domestic market, if not, take it out, cuz nothing on a cobalt is 'jdm'

I agree, thats a stupid thing to say.

A turbo makes a turbo sound. Not a peice of tube.

holy **** u guys need to relax and read the whole post. the tube resonates the rushing air which makes a turbo spool up noise. ive been drag racing for 2 years, as ive said it was a typo. JDM stands for the last names of the guys in that club it's just a coincidence. and thats it. some people appreciate what i and all the other people who make home made mods. If not for them, there would be no Jmod(for all of you who have owned a Mercury Cougar).

Not trying to bash, but if someone can't afford or doesn't want to buy an intake they can acheive similar results by modifying their stock intake system. I removed my intake resonator, drilled out about a dozen holes in the bottom of my stock intake box and replaced the filter with a K&N drop in. My reason for not buying an intake is because there is a CAI included with the Hahn turbokit and I have enough things to buy with my planned buildup without wasting money on temporary mods. I've noticed increased throttle response and it sounds like a buzzsaw at WOT, but no one will ever see a second off quarter from an intake alone. There must have been other forces at work. I'm sorry to say this but your mod just doesn't look aesthetically pleasing which is probably why it's getting ragged on so bad. Anyways good luck with your car and your clubs man. Peace.
