Dealership Info
I took my car into the dealership to have the power steering recall fixed and I looked on the sheet of the basic stuff they check on every car, on every repair, and it said that the fuel injectors needed to be flushed. They said they use a high power cleaner. Is there something that will do the same effect without having them do it?

they use the fuel pressure relief in the fuel rail and hook up a small pressurized canister with cleens (gm injector cleaner good stuff too) and it cleans the carbon build up in your injectors works better then running additive in when you fill up, its just maintanence ****, i'd rather do that then running seafoam that just my opinion

In more recent years I've yet to experience a car with injectors with carbon on the spraying nozzle portion....fuel itself is a cleaner. If your handy enough pop the fuel rail off and wipe off any build up from the injector if your concerned. Just my .02.

That would probably be good. what do you think about then pouring seafoam straight down that and wait then start it up?

well I got it all taken care of. I found some spray sea foam and decided it would not hurt it if I sprayed it so I did. A little smoke came out but not much. I bought some of the injector cleaner and poured that into the tank. Will keep you posted if it makes any difference.

I've only been with GM for about 5 years but I can begin to count how many cars that have been fixed just from injector cleaners. The pressurized can is the best way to go unless you're a baller on a budget.
