AEM and INjen I believe both have one...

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applica...4BLU_X_1034RED

It's basically a micro-absorbent fabric that won't allow large amounts of water through.

This ones more pricey.

http://www.gravanatuning.com/applica...0_402S_20_403S

It says when the pressure changes in the intake tube, the air is blown through the pores of the bypass valve not creating enough suction to get the water into the manifold. Best spot would be on an incline probably.

as far as i know anything like this except gmpp parts will void the warranty so i would say take it off each time you take it in..

takin it off will be easy.. but you gotta put the factory stuff back on which might be a lil aggravatin.. not hard though..

most of the time they never say anythin or actually void the warranty till a real problem occurs and they can blame it on the intake.. so its up to you on whether or not you take it off each time..

they can not void your warrenty for any part unless the aftermarket part causes a problem and then can prove your part caused the problem.. lets say you put on a turbo on your engine and the rods snap they would blame the turbo and would probably win, but then just your ENGINE warrenty is gone, not everything, just that particular part.. your seats or whatever else, exhaust, doors, body, it all still covered..

MAGNUSON MOSS ACT... read it

I had this intake and ended up trading it for my projectors and then bought a nice, used AEM.

cells for intakes usually seem to come from the weather changes also as from what ive first hand seen.. i modified my airbox and put in my own piping and cut a hold for the sensor and threw a filter on there and i have never had a cell yet within 2 years..

Alright
this will be huge and im doing it off the top of my head so bare with me
1)take engine cover off, remove oil cap and pull.
2) remove air box and filter
3)remove pipe from throttle body up til where the air box sat..there will be a screw holding it i believe under the throttle body part.
From there..i believe you remove the siliencer...
For this i removed the head light and the headlight bracket.
Push down on the silencer and turn it i believe to the left...it'll go hard and you can see your pushing against the rubber peice in your tire wall.
then it'll pop loose and pull it up through the head light spot.

preston posted this for me.. there is no pics but it should help you out.. its the closest i could get to a how to.. hope it helps you out..

If you want or anyone wants i can go and take some pictures and probably do a better more descriptive one..because i think i am taking it off to bring it to the dealer so i do recieve any raz about it.

Let me know...wont take me that long to do it anyways...i just need a heater because...its 2 degrees right now with 30+ MPH winds..= -20 degrees and less

You basically had it down. There is a long silver screw (Flat head) on the right side of the stock intake that connects to the throttle body. Loosen that, Discconect tube to Valve cover, unscrew filter box and pull up. Remover filter and the remaining part of the resonator/bong thingy.

I'll go snap one today sometime...actually i think i have one..let me see.
I have 3, if you want me to take a picture of the hole it goes into, where the silencer sat, i can. Then from there if you take the head light out you can basically see the filter chilling there.
