I had the Pacesetter and it was awesome, no complaints from me, but I really liked the GMPP so I went and got that when it was on sale from CED, awesome exhaust but the Pacesetter is right up there too, esp for half the price!

you're right you guys should make a sticky with exhaust videos/sounds. alot of forums have that and it comes in very handy.

I went with a universal Magnaflow muffler. It sounded great until I added the intake. It's pretty loud now, but not ricey. $159 installed.

the pacesetter by itself sounded AWESOME... when i added the downpipe and hi flow cat, it sounded even better... below 3krpm... over that, it gets a little raspy... i'm looking into a resonator, which should help out alot... under 3,000, it sounds amazing

danklite, since you went with GMMP, you want to sell your pacesetter system?

Also, do the pacesetter catbacks fit the sedans fine?

I am in the process of trying to sell it to some local guys, if that all falls through I will let you know, I prefer to sell it here locally to help out my local guys and so I dont have to ship, but if that all does fall through Ill be sure to let you know man. And as far as I know the pacesetter fits sedans fine, I think there were a couple guys on here that had them installed.

i have the pacesetter setup and i really don't care for the sound anymore...i was wondering if i could buy a muffler and have someone install it on my pacesetter system instead of buying a whole new setup...has anyone done this or do you guys think that it will work?

It will work no problem, you'd get the pacesetter muffler cut off and a new one welded on.

The sound of the pacesetter that you may be getting sick of might not be the muffler. You could try adding a cat and res. to the system to get rid of some of the rasp, just an idea.

Buddy, Quite simple, get ureself a touring GMPP and call it a day. Seriously it sounds sweet and low. Not very loud, but the sound is awesome. (for a 4cyl. car)
