So I put a new exhaust manifold on my car, replaced the studs, gaskets and everything that goes with it, but I started my car and now theres smoke coming off the manifold. is this something to worry about or is it something to not worry about?

 

The smoke coming off of the manifold is most likely just the oil they coat it with to prevent rusting in storage. As long as you aren't hearing any loud noises like an exhaust leak, the smoking should stop after a few minutes worth of driving.

 

Okay thanks, I flew in the house to grab the fire extinguisher because I looked up and saw smoke, pretty sure I had a minor heart attack 😂
