Exhaust Fitment Question

Hey everyone!

I am a new member here and thank you if you are reading this post. I have a question about the exhaust system for my 2006 cobalt ss 2.4

are the exhaust fitments the same for the 2.0 and 2.4?

Not from the header but after that. Reason I am asking is because my exhaust broke off near the muffler and previous owner had a magnaflow muffler welded on. Saw these 2 exhausts and just hoping to get some information if they are the same. Lots of cat back exhausts for the 2.0 are cheaper than for the 2.4. So if they both bolt up perfectly why not get the 2.0

These are the two im looking at but they both got the same part number that is why I am asking you pros for clarification

Yes. All are the same layout in terms of catbacks... same hanger points, bends, etc.

bolting up to the dp would be the only concern no idea what the 2.4 dp exit is.

2.4's downpipe exit is the same as the LSJ.

Only difference is, the LSJ downpipe is 2.75" and necks down to 2.5"., and the 2.4's entire downpipe is 2.5".

In short that catback will fit and work on the OP's car.
