so today i was racing one of my buddys with an 09 cobalt ls (LAP) and my spedometer stopped at 111 but i kept going faster, he said we both got up to 120. i have an 07 auto and his is manual so do i have a govenor or does my car have issues? i have a cold air intake B&M shift and its lowered 3.5 inches would my MINOR mods have anything to do with it? im just curious to why my speedo stopped but the engine didnt

 

how did you lower it 3.5"?

 

i think a better question is how long were you racing to get going that fast? it had to be several minutes at WOT.

 

dropzone springs theyre rated at 2.5'' but from the weight of the car it dropped it an extra inch

a good 2 or 3 minutes

haha, no thats not a govenor, If you have a governor (or however you spell it haha) if you have a governor then the car would cut off if you got going to fast.

haha i look at mine doin 155 but i got it on cruiz controll =D(ss)
