Question Magnaflow Performance Muffler

Whats your guys' opinions on the magnaflow muffler? I'm just looking for a little more noise on the back end, nothing huge.

Got mine last week and I really like it. I'm not a fan of LOUD cars and this muffler is perfect I think.

did you just have the stock muffler replaced or do you have any cat conveter work done.

What kinda intake do you have?

I got it installed today and I'm pretty happy with it. Its got just enough noise to be noticed but it doesn't have that annoying "ricer" sound to it.

Its an "axle back" exhaust, pretty much he cut off every thing form the front of the axle back and replaced it with new pipe and the new muffler.

And as far as intake i have just an intake mod's (yea more than one) and a good drop in filter. Ide show you my intake but its pretty controversial on here so....

P.S. Glad to hear you like your new exhaust, what did you do for a tip? (they can be spendy ($40)!!)

i had bought a bolt on tip from kragen when i got the car so the guy welded a longer piece of pipe to the outlet of the muffler and bolted on the tip. so i had already purchased it. but pm me with a pic of your intake i'd really like to see it for some ideas for my car.

i have a magnaflow but its not like red06ls. its different. the muffler is like an oval shape and the tip is separte from the muffler itself. there is like a few inches of pipe and the the tip is welded on and comes out under the bumper.

Im gonna say no cause the SS cobalts have a different size exhaust. They make DP's for the 2.2. Try looking at the vendors on here one or more of them will have what your looking for.

the down pipe will bolt right up, the ss/c downpipe is an upgrade over the 2.2 one, basically the header, the downpipe and the stock ss/sc exhaust will bolt right up, no problem, no cutting, no fabricating, well except welding the stock cat back since you have to cut it to get it off in the first place

YES the DP will bolt right up, i have one sitting in my extra room waiting to be installed. If you have SAI make sure you don't have two O2 sensors. if you do, then you will run into some trouble and have to get a bung welded on. If not.... its just bolt and go. I am going for a full SAI delete. the programming has been deleted, now i need to remove the hardware and replace the manifold.

ALL cobalt parts bolt up to the other cobalts
