So this Kit exhaust from Megan is out of stock and on backorder intel May, and i want to know if i order this Megan muffler and have someone make custom 2.4 pipes to connect it all would i get about the same sound as the catback kit or not?

By "2.4" pipes, do you mean 2.4"?

You should be able to get a local exhaust shop do make you a custom exhaust that is cheaper than most of the bolt on kits.

Similar. I just waited three months to get my drift-spec exhaust. Patience is a virtue. The piping for the exhaust is 2.5"

 

Ya I guess ill wait a month, hope 2.5" isn't to much for my 2.2L

 

i just ordered mine for $320 out the door at "wesellcarparts.com".. ill probably be getting an e-mail tmrw saying its on backorder.. but still it's an awesome price i couldnt pass up

 

dude. it will sound the exact same if you just get the muffler. trust me. i just did it to mine. pipe is pipe is pipe is pipe my man.

 

Ya but i have a LT which has 2.25" pipe and that muffler has a 2.4" inlet.
So.....................ya lol

 

an exhaust shop can make any size you want. you could have 3" all the way back to the inlet of the muffler where it then downsizes to 2.4". i'm just trying to give advice. it's cheaper and you can have whatever you want. i don't see the point in paying so much money for pipe. that's basically what it comes down to.

 

So they can put in a pipe than goes from 2.25" into 2.4"? hope so, ill asked them after work tomorrow.

 

yes they can. all they do is squeeze and crush the pipe a little.
