need help with these codes please!!!
I just scanned the car and got these codes;p0443,p0036,p0102,p0030,p0053,p0054.I have no idea where to start looking.if it helps any,we have a dog that keeps chewing through the wires around the rear suspension but soldered all the wires back together an they look fine right now but it might have somethin to do with it
thats a lot of problems lol.
P0030 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Sensor 1 ECM, PCM
P0036 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Sensor 2 ECM, PCM
P0102 Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Low Frequency ECM, PCM
P0443 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Solenoid Control Circuit ECM, PCM
P0053 HO2S Heater Resistance (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
P0054 HO2S Heater Resistance (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
I got all these from this website CEL Codes for Cobalts
Hope this helps a bit.

none of those issues will have anything to do with dogs chewing wires in the back... you have a serious problem my friend... what year is your car? is it stoll under warranty? if so pull off every mod you can and take it in.

Mines an 07.Naw,I'm way out of warranty.130,000 miles.I took the cat off round 30,000 miles so the CEL stayed on.just now put a defouler on and a cat back bout a week ago.I left the house a few days ago an the TC light came on when I started it an it stays on along with the CEL and has been shifting hard ever since.
clean every intake piece you have... TB, new filter, clean the MAF... check to see that everything is sealing right... maake sure there are no loose wires under you hood or under the car... look everywhere. even places that make no sense. trust me... gm is odd about running wires lol

I'll be sure to do that before work tomorrow.I did notice the insulation on the o2 sensors wires were split open so I put some liquid tape on it temporarily.ill look more closely tomorrow

Just checked the exh fuse an it was blown.replaced the fuse an cleared codes.now only showin p0102 and p0113.still showing TC light an shifting hard.
Check Engine Light (CEL/MIL) on. If the vehicle is equipped with a manual transmission, the engine may not crank/turn over. The ECM/PCM may set any combination of the following DTCs: P0443, P0102, P0036, P0030, P0135, and P0101. The above condition and codes could be caused by an EMISSION fuse blown and or loose in the UBEC.
Note: This condition may be intermittent.
Recommendation/Instructions:
There are 2 main areas to look at for the cause of this blown/loose fuse.
Check circuit 5291 for a short to ground (STG) at the clutch pedal position switch connector as it might get shorted to the clutch bracket. If connector looks ok, then inspect the 10 amp emissions fuse in the Underhood Electrical Center to ensure it is properly seated.
Note: This clutch position switch connector is there even on automatic vehicles.
Check for a short To ground (STG) at the oil filter adapter housing.
It has been determined that the main wiring harness, is routed passed the aluminum oil filter housing (at the plastic cap) and has the potential to make contact with the oil filter housing. If the wiring in the engine harness comes out of the conduit it could chafe on the aluminum oil filter housing.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Repair chafed in wire harness. Push all wires back into conduit of wire harness assembly. Wrap engine harness conduit with electrical tape in the area where it may contact the aluminum oil filter housing to keep the wires from coming out of the conduit.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
Note: This condition may be intermittent.

Just took it down the road an blew the exh fuse again an the other codes came back up so I'm sure its the rear o2 cuz it had some wires showin an just put liquid tape on it so ill just get a new o2.checked all fuses an all are fine except for that one an checked the maf wires an all are fine.the only thing suggested that I haven't done yet is cleanin the tb an air filter.finally makin progress though
Chevy cobalt multiple codes.
anyone re place the O2 sensors? And find out that they are aftermarket design, and not OE design? I believe that might be what's causing the problems on the one I'm working on I replaced the cat and both O2 sensors[ both aftermarket design]. And now I'm getting codes p0030, p0036, p0053, p0054, p0102, p0113 5, p0141, p0443. Going to replace with OE design and see if that works.
