New GT-2 timer

Well I just got one of those GT-2 timers from the group buy and I figured I would share some of the results. Well I haven't had too much time to play with it but I went through all the features and got the basic idea of how it works and did one good run. I have a intake and exhaust as far as performance upgrades, and more that I have to put on. The GT-2 timer gives you a lot of information, I would reccommend it for people modifying their cars just so you can see what type of gains each part gives. Its not 100% accurate but its pretty close. The run I did said that I ran a 15.40 at 90.3MPH in the 1/4 mile. It also gave a 0-10 up to a 0-60 times, 1/8 mile, 1000ft time, all types of G-forces and a lot more. It gives an estimated HP number too but I have to enter some of the cars information (weight, transmission type) into it for it to be somewhat accurate. Ill post up some more results as I do the runs. Does a 15.40 at 90.3MPH sound about right?

yeh i just bought a g-tech pro, but the version made in 1994. kikin it oldskool. and it works ok, but its best to do multiple runs. EXAMPLE: should do like five 1/4 mi. runs. then take ur best 3 and avg. them. my 07 2.2 auto sedan pulled off 15.9 with 5 runs. mainly round 83-86mph. cant really say that its super accurate, jus gotta go to the track really.

I didnt get it because I thought it was exact, I just got it so I could get an idea on what gains I got from each mod I do. But it turned out to be pretty accurate. Once I get everything figured out ill post up what it says my HP is and see how close it really is.

yeh these little devices are mainly used to see before and after gains, a real 1/4 time you'll need a track. fun little toys tho 126whp is what it read and i think thats what stock cobalts are around.

Heres the info I got from my first run:

60ft- 2.35
330ft- 6.52
1/8- 10.00@71.6MPH
1000ft- 12.92
1/4- 15.40@90.3

0-10MPH- 0.52
0-20- 1.45
0-30- 2.37
0-40- 3.82
0-50- 5.22
0-60- 7.23
0-70- 9.32
0-80- 11.70
0-90- 14.77
I found out how to set the vehicle weight and all that other stuff, so if I do it tonight and get a run in ill post my new numbers. The weight was set way off thats why i didnt get a accurate HP reading, but I changed that so next time it should be faitly accurate.
