if you put 4200 worth of aftermarket parts into the engine you should be as fast or faster a than a stock ss but you still pay insuraunce for a stock ls

lol or in my case, 21000 for an ss minus the 11500 i paid leaves what is it 9500 for aftermarket parts? ha

Props to Half Cent for actually doing something instead of just talking about it.

Its not unsual at all to find brand new cars at shops getting torn down. First of all GM has already done the homework and made the parts available, so why sit on your hands and wait for somebody else to do it?

Warranties are overrated. Anybody serious about going fast understands you have to pay to play.

You break it, you fix it.

GM has already proven the stock block can handle the average bolt-ons and small nitrous shot.

Eagle rods are CHEAP insurance and good to at least 500hp if not more. There a few cars out there that make 600hp or more with off the shelf Eagle rods. Wisceo is the best piston on the market right now and they get their orders correct.

Again Half Cent keep us posted man I think you should shoot for as much power as you can make since you know the block will handle it now.

Are you going with the Hahn kit?

Well, the latest is that I'm still stuck waiting for UPS to fill my insurance claim (see my post "project update from Halfcent"). We submitted the paperwork and are waiting for our check so we can go buy my new trans. Nothing new to report otherwise yet. And yes, I'm going with Hahn. Bill Hahn has been helping with build advise for me the whole way.
