Remove Evap connection pressed in manifold?

I have a 2.4 intake mani. How the hell do I get the little Evap tube fitting that is shoved into the intake manifold out? The fitting broke and I need to replace it but I can't get the old one out. The one on my 2.2L intake simply popped out when I unscrewed it but this one is pressed and won't budge? What am I doing wrong? I'm going to just connect the broken piece and the new piece with fuel hose and duct tape or something if I can't figure this **** out.

take a picture. the oem fitting should have a little tab that you move in a "U" form and it'll pop right off

No I know how to do that. That's already been done. I'm talking about the piece pressed into the manifold that connects to that.

I cut it off at the bottom and bought a brass fitting. you can also simply pull the one from the 2.2 intake, then cut the one off the 2.4 intake, drill a hole that will fit the 2.2 nipple in and jb weld that sucker in.

I cant even see how its replaceable(or breakable). Its cast plastic as far as I can tell. I wouldnt trust my engine to jb weld for a $200+ mani myself.

It is plastic, and very easy to break, I didn't do epoxy on mine, but I have seen a few pictures of people that did it. I drilled and threaded in a brass fitting, just looks better and will not break again.
