Exclamation Tech Help! Please Read.

I have an automatic 2007 Cobalt 2.2l Coupe with an Injen intake and Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system. I am interested in purchasing a header and downpipe.

HEADER I want more POWER! I've seen quite a few headers like GMP, Pacesetter, DC Sport, Cobalt-Addicition Stainless Steel Header V2, etc. Which is a relatively inexpensive but good header without any installation hassle?

DOWNPIPE My Balt is driven daily so I'd like to keep it street legal. What are some of the better downpipes with a high flow cat in your experience? I was originally looking at the XTC stainless steel downpipe.

OR should I go with the 4-2-1 VIBRANT Stainless Steel Header w/ "ultra high flow" cat downpipe?

TUNE After these mods are installed? Should I tune? If so, can I tune? I don't know too much about 07 model tunes. I livei n Houston, TX btw.

Any info would help. I appreciate it guys!

i would go with the vibrant header/dp, although if you are running the 2.2 magnaflow exhaust, the DP is bigger than yoru exhaust is, i think the magnaflow is 2.25" piping in the 2.2 version...but should still be a good combo...although a tune will get you more power than a header will...

The Vibrant isn't cheap, but it is good.

Go with the Vibrant and get a Trifecta tune and you'll love it.

Thanks for the info, guys! I'm going to go with the Vibrant header and dp. Once those are installed, i'll tune. Which tune will work best for my setup, LS2-edit, hp tuners and trifecta? jsut a reminder its my daily How much power should i expect the the header/dp and tune?

ohh one more thing. If i decided to install a supercharger, what else would i need to change out or what do you recommend i do?

sorry for so many questions, ima noob when it comes to Balts. lol hey but i'm a former honda owner chevy ftw!!

You could leave the exhaust as is but you would loose the injen intake. I'm not sure if the 2.2l can utilize the lsj CAI from injen or any other company for that matter but I know it can (and at the very least needs) use the stock lsj intake.

Exhaust mods u can keep if you go with a sc, although I would recommend a bigger exhaust over your current magnaflow, you would have no need for your 2.2 intake and would need any intake made for the 2.0, I personally run a KnN... Although if u have the money I recommend a zzp 3"...cheaper and better.

So all i need is a supercharger from a 2.0 SS/SC and any intake made for it and thats it? but you do recommend a bigger exhaust like 3". I'd definitely get it tuned then most likely by trifecta.
