To those with forged internals
www.ottperformance.com has a return fuel system that you should also purchase.
I have Eagle rods for my 2.2 G5 and Wiseco 8.9:1 pistons... My head has been shaved down, ported and polished... However, I havent installed the rods and pistons yet and havent tried with the freshly shaved head, so i cant vouche for the shaved head helping with a CR raise... I do plan on boosting... But, does anyone know of anyone that has installed the Eagle rods into the l61, i want to know if the rods fit right in, or if i have to shaved the crank...
looking to do internals very soon. It's just a shame there isn't a competitor for rods and pistons cause then we might be able to get better deals this just seems a little pricey for parts but I know I am still going to do it regardless..
weisco, diamond, and JE all sell pistons for ecotecs... crower and eagle both sell rods too IIRC
are both of the rods the same specs or close enough that both will work with any of those pistons mentioned because I am aware diameter is one part of the equation if you don't have the right piston for connecting rod wrist pins don't work. I have read that the eagle rod is rated beyond 700 hp and that's good enough but for hunks of metal that aren't machined I don't understand how these rods are as much as pistons basically.
thanks for the help guys time for some shopping

Id drop down to 9.5.1.
Replacing pistons and rods isnt hard. I could knock it out in a weekend. I did mine, granted it took longer cuz I was ordering parts as i went.
-ARP Headstuds
-Headgasket
-Assembly Lube
-Connecting Rod Bolts (I think they come with the rods)
-Crank Bolt
-Cam Bolts
-Timing cover gasket
-Sealant for the oil pan
-Pistons
-Connecting rods
-Rod Bearings
Thats all i can think of atm.
