To Tune With What
To Tune With What
okay so I run a SRI in the winter and a CAI in the summer.....michigan salt = bad for coabalt....anyhoo i was wondering will it make a big difference if i tune with the CAI and go back and forth between the CAI and SRI...or tune with SRI and go to CAI....any words on this?
i don't think you should get a tune if you only have an intake...
because down the road you're gonna want to get a retune for the rest of the mods that actually make power. not sound.
sorry if i offended you.

while blackbolt is right, he's not completely right.
the tune WILL make some difference no matter if your stock or fully built. the question of how much of a change will result from the tune is what should be considered.
as for the difference boltedbalt is questioning, the difference of tuning while in SRI or CAI will be insignificant of a diff. So get it tuned with either, if you decide you want a tune at this point.
blackbolt is correct though, the more stuff you have done, the more it'll make a diff. and will save you some money down the road.

I have to disagree people.
the CAI won't benefit him anymore than an SRI when he's on the dyno.
off the dyno though in the real world u'd realize a few more horses, as you accelerate through the air, it's "charge" is increased, resulting in more top end.
on the dyno though while getting tuned, u wouldn't notice a diff i bet.
