No, and that is old school. These are zero clearance engines.

I thought there was a cavy with bolt ons, and cams that is hitting about 178whp. Is that with or without a tune. I believe it was on one of the ecotec forums.

That would have to be with a tune. 178 n/a whp out of the 2.2 would be pretty sweet indeed.

i love hearing those civics when they kick into v-tec... i told my girlfriend thats the sound off a sore loser lol... at least the single ohc v-tecs lol ... the dohc v-tecs are great engines..
