A couple questions...
I am assuming this can be done with stage 1 cams also, correct?
How much did he charge you to machine the cams and then press the sensor on?
Thank you!

From what I read in another topic you dont need the sensor pressed on if you tune through Trifecta. He disables it so It wont throw a CEL and will work properly. Im still not sure if its okay to run the 03-06 cams with out the sensor and everything will be okay. I just know it can be done. If anyone that has done it can shed more light on it that would be great.

yes it can be done with any stage of cam. he charged me i think it was around 200 for it to be cut and pressed on. because the 03-06 cams are longer on the intake

Seems like a bad idea to just tune out a sensor.. to definitively tell you, we would need to know the exact function of the cam positioning sensor otherwise it could be like tuning out your 02 sensor or something retarded like that

I heard without that sensor on the cam that the start-up cranking time is just increased, like you have to turn the motor over several more times so the pcm can tell where the engine is in its timing sequence. I may be wrong though, just what I read when I was researching cams.

To the OP - did you install aftermarket springs? With out at least the supertech 78lb kit your running a risk of float or even snapping a stock spring with the increased lift. On all their spec sheets, comp states valvesprings are required.
You might get away with it for a while on stock springs, but smashing a valve and having to tear down is an unnecessary risk IMO.
