I went back under the hood, un-taped it, inspected the harness (everything looked fine), re-taped it again, and put it all back together and everything is fine now.

It's your plug on your TB. Your old accelerator pedal and TB are fine.

Good find!

Well if your butterfly was stuck, then perhaps you do have a harware failure. Here's a project for you. Since you have a spare part and working car, take the presumed faulty part to a shop and see if they "bench check" it for you. You probably won't be sucessfull, since automotive repair is simply remove and replace. But in the aviation world, shops have bench equipment that can allow you to plug the device in and run it through a diagnostic. Kindda like how Autozone can bench check starters and alternators.

Hey Witt, you might be helpful here. You got a pin out diagram for the TB harness?

The TB butterfly should be able to be moved in both directions when it is at rest. It is double spring loaded to a slightly open position and should be able to be moved to the closed and open position with a little effort -- and should return to its' rest position when let go.

I am blown away by the amount of knowledge you guys have given this guy! I never thought you would be able to take a part and rip it apart and know so much about it, without being a GM Tech.

Cudos to you guys!!

Well in a few days ill have in the rest of the parts i need to sc my 2.2.

Im sure ill be all over asking 500 questions, so my first set is:

What do i do with the MAP/MAF?
What sensors will i need to relocate?
Where should i put the nitrous fogger nozzle?
How big a shot can i put on my stock block with out blowing it to ****, i was hopeing or a 35-50 shot?
Can i just buy SMT-6 or do i have to get 7?
Do i need to put anything besides: 2.0 alt, pulley, tensioner, on the motor to make the stock 2.0 belt fit?
Whats the cheapest, good, wideband?
With forged pistons/rods i should be able to use the sc with a 100 shot right?

Here is a list of what i have so far, am i missing anything?
Manifold, SC, alt, 32 and 42 injectors, belt, adaptor for TB, tentioner, radiator fans, pump, ac compressor, underdrive pully, air intake.

And i plan on getting:
SMT6/7
Wideband (hopefully ill eyehawk comes out soon)
Gaskets
