i believe the adapter is only meant if your using the 2.2 throttle body. if you have a 2.4 throttle body you shouldn't need the adapter

well i bought the kit that includes the 2.4 manifold and the 2.0 tb and spacer and then the wiring harness connector. Since the 2.2 has a 6 pin connector and the 2.0 has a 8 pin connector the adaptor harness sent i would think would plug into the tb and then connect and reduce to the 2.2 wire harness and make it all work. But the adaptor sent to me is 8 pin on female and male side so i dont know

A LSJ tb is simply too big for a 2.2

Stick with the 2.2 tb. The 2.4 will give you better response but no real power gains.

Just run the 2.2 or 2.4 tb. You shouldnt have any issue running the 2.2 tb. Im not a 2.2 guy though. But I believe maven is still running a 2.2 tb on his 2.4 manifold.

You will lose Alot low end with the lsj tb unless your forced inducted.stick with 2.2 tb until you do nitrous/forced induction.if you really want to use that tb then there is a Wiring diagram I used to wire my lsj tb to my ls which is 6 pin to 8 on the lsj I'd link you but I'm on my iPod

You'd need a tune if you plan on running any tb other than the 2.2l youre car will not run with the 2.4l tb or any other. Some have used the JET MAF sensor and ran the 2.4l tb, but a tune is always your best bet

No. If you put a 2.4 or LSJ TB on your car will either not run or run like ****. You have to get it tuned for them to work. And they make a 6 to 8 Pin, I think USMCPDuffy had to get one cause his car was 6 pin. The 05-06 cars were all 8 pin.

I have to 2.4mani and I am running my stock 2.2 throttle body. I am porting and polishing a 2.4tb but you have to be tuned in order for it to work properly. did you bore out the map sensor hole? I no that was a bi*ch, but thats the only problems ran into

problems i have ran into is the break booster hose does not fit on the 2.4 manifold and is now leaking air and car will not run right. (working to fix that)
besides that the adapter wire that was sent to me is incorrect so havent completely finished this waiting to hear back from zzp to see if wrong adapter was sent

you have to cut the quick connect off the booster hose and clamp it to the 2.4 manifold.as for the harness just use the diagram and wire it in.
