i get what your saying bro but he should b fine as long as he gets it tuned soon. Also i dont think he'll do damage with just a few mm difference, will he loose gas mileage sure but he got it for power. Im sure you'll agree that not a single aftermarket engine mod on our cars is used to its full potential untill its tuned. If he got it he'll tune it

i agree with the red.. not so much with the blue.. you dont wanna **** with fuel trims too much.. im still confused as to why this car is running fine.. every single case ive read about needed a tune cuz the car would barely run/move without throwing a code

thank you. yeah, it might not destroy his car, but my point is that you should just wait until your tuned to install it. it can damage your engine, and its not worth the risk.

listen to me or not, im just stating my (proven) opinion.

and unless somebody pisses me off im done here.

He will be fine w/o a tune as long as he doesn't beat on it.
He's an extremely knowledgeable GMTECH. And the only guy allowed to touch my car at the dealer. He is also the areas top Corvette Tech
I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing

i dont doubt that, im basically just saying be careful. ive seen multiple people throw on a 2.4 tb w/o a tune and go limp or run like ****. the only people i was getting pissed at were the completely misinformed, such as saying that the intake manifold needed a tune, not the tb.

i was just wondering wat you think about porting the stock manifold, both ends with a LSJ TB adapter plate harness and a ported plate with tune?

ive heard of somebody doing it or at least planning to do it on his balt, but i dont feel the need. my 2.4 manifold should have more than enough flow for a basic trifecta tune. but it couldnt hurt either, i just dont want to risk damaging mine. they seem to be getting in short supply and CED's kit jumped up from 340 to 540 or something like that. so im not gonna risk it haha

same here.. screw risking porting for the minimal gain at best. ill take throwing on a tune and 2.4IM over that anyday.. not to mention how much easier it is

ive got a gmpp intake and exhaust, badmab header, 2.4 mani and a 2.4 tb im waiting to install until i get a tune lol and a zzp downpipe on the way as we speak. a trifecta tune will be coming in a week or 2 as well. so im real close to being fully bolted and tuned, and eventually ill throw on an m62

You are all correct about the AFR's however cars are controlled really well these days for rich/lean for emissions so IF any damage is being done the light would come on very fast. That being said if it does come on in the few days im not tuned whats it take a total of 3 minutes to change?

^^^^ yup and its funny that the only people that dont get it are the ones with l61 (l61 goes into limp mode with tb change) and the only thing in common with the LAP and L61 is the bottom end, the LAP has LE5 top end, maybe the L61 guy should stick with there own section LOL!

so if the LAP has the LE5 top end why wouldnt they just shove the LE5 intake mani/tb on there too.. gm makes no sense i swear

it does 09 lap and 09 le5 have the same top end the tb that 09xfebalt used was only on the le5 for 2008 if you look at the older ones 07 and older they have the same internal sensors as lsj thats why zzp has a kit to install the lsj tb with no tune required

gm is messed up! lol
