Engine swap

Will an 08 2.2 motor work properly if put in an 06 cobalt...the 06 had a 2.2 but the coil packs are different is why I'm asking

im just taking a guess, but if you put your 06 coil packs on the 08, I think you should be fine. Make sure that engine comes with its own computer though .

I think the 08 one will have an extra sensor (cam sensor i think)

yep, I've had to replace both of mine already. there's an intake and exhaust cam sensor.
