250 hp was the L61. I believe I have heard the LAP can hold a little more, but not sure on that or the number we can get to. Ask the turbo/super guys, they will have a better answer.

im an L61 but i have the GenII block. It held more than 250......However you are playing with fire, eventually you are going to get burned. Just do it right or dont do it. I tested the internals to the limit and the bar isnt much higher than 250.

Every car is different. Depends on your tune, driving style, and car.

People take them way past 250 HP (people are doing 250+ Whp). They only say 250 HP because GM did a nitrous stress test. Boost will be easier and more gradual than nitrous.

Hp rating should be the same as the L61, 250 hp. That's talking crank horsepower but like nhanson said people have pushed it to 250 whp. As far as I know the LAP uses mostly the same internal engine parts as the L61 except for the cylinder head (because the LAP has VVT). stenguyen1 is the only one i've seen that blew his motor and he was pushing like 260 whp on an m62

What if I were to slap in an LNF turbo, intercooler, charge pipes etc. w/o GM stage 2 but with Trifecta on my LAP. Will that be less then 250hp? I know the HHR 2.0 LNF automatic version has 235hp stock not sure if that helps.
