I forget your auto, I thought you were a manual trans. Trying to get your launch rpms is going to be difficult

I did try doing some power braking the other day.. in D, it seems 1500 rpm is the absolute limit. So all in all, my target was way too high

You say surging is the next thing you are going to tackle? Are you talking about idle or while driving or what exactly is happening? I would quit replacing sensors without verifying something is actually wrong with the sensors first. It sounds like you have he ability to look at live data so you should be able to look at each sensor in question and see if it is reading within range of where it is expected to. Every time you throw another part at the problem you introduce a new variable which can make diagnosing the problem even more difficult. Most likely you problem isn't even caused by a faulty sensor.

I looked through and it doesn't look like you have installed a wide-band sensor and gauge yet? Do that before replacing any more sensors. Most if not all of the sensors and throttle body's you have replaced probably don't have anything wrong with them and some may actually be less accurate than the stock components depending on which brand you went with. Install a wideband and find out were your fueling is at.

Is there a wide band in particular you would recommend AEM failsafe or plx gen4?

Idle is pretty stable.
Stop and go is a fight with surges.
Im trying to slow down or stop, the car has the opposite idea and wants to increase speed.

Happens when slowing down, by the time I get to about 2-3km/h, rpms kick up and the brake pressure needs to be doubled to bring the vehicle to a smooth stop.

Wideband seems like a good idea. Will definitely make that a priority

Yeah awesome, wideband is necessity. Fueling being off can easily cause your surging issues. Depending on how the tune is configured it can cause your car to idle high as well. I think you said you have HPtuners? Someone who knew what they are looking for could probably take a look at your logs to see what is going on. Are you throwing any codes or is the check engine light on?

Yes I own an hptuner device +laptop so data logging is no issue.
No DTC, no CEL, no freezeframes.

My obd interceptor gauges pick up a lot of random codes but they never stay and never show in hptuners so probably nothing..

You mean like pending codes that don't ever fully trip? Take a screen shot and let us know what they are.

Well in the gauges (interceptors) you can bring up codes, after leaving that screen and going back in it’s usually different codes.
One code is pretty common B2111 which means nothing?

Anyway, going Into hptuners. No codes will be present.
These photos are from a few months back...

I honestly don't even know how the interceptor works. I've only ever checked codes with an OBD II scanner. Like the second picture is P0181 which online looks to be "Fuel Temperature Sensor" I don't even think your car has a fuel temperature sensor. Hopefully someone that knows about the interceptor may chime in about why it seems to bring up random codes.

That’s why I’ve kinda dismissed these as actual codes I believe B2111 comes up as power seat recliner (been a while since I looked it up)
but my model certainly does not have power seats...

The wideband is here and should be able to have a tech weld a quick bung in for a weekend install.

Wpuld you guys recommend getting an EMS or just splice a computer cable for data logging?

Don't even necessarily have to datalog but take a look at your gauge while doing a WOT pull to see how it reads.

What's it read when you hammer down before right before it starts to break up?

Yeah that's no good. No wonder it is breaking up. Does your AFR bounce around at all to indicate it is actually taking readings and not just stuck? I don't even know if that is possible but you should be seeing it move around some even if it's not properly enriching the air/fuel mixture. Running that lean under boost is very hard on your engine and I would definitely not go WOT again until you get this problem resolved.

well I see it changes between 14.6 and 14.7 but that's about it.
Will play around with the sensor tonight some more and I'll try to do some research today.

https://www.aemelectronics.com/files...GO%20Gauge.pdf

on page 11 it talks about configuration, default is P0 and is what it is set to now.
Gonna try P3 or P4 hopefully over lunch.
It's a little unclear to me, but I think P0 may simulate a narrow band.

I did contact AEM tech support

this is a short read but seems to be exactly whats happening. I'm confident if i play with it ill find a loose connection or a bad ground somewhere...
