Let's get back to my original question about the throttle body. I would be planning on doing that with other mods, such as headers/downpipe.
I was planning on headers anyway. So I figured I would just throw the throttle body in there as well.

I have a 2.2L LAP, and a circle track guy I talked to said he saw decent gains with the 2.4L throttle body. My only issue is the tuning, because I don't have access to a tuner, but I would like to do the tuning myself.

when I had my lap it was hp tuned with bolt ons with 2.4 tb 155whp it made a slight difference, picked up 15whp in the midrange from the tune, intake was louder, in regards to the manifold I noticed the stock intake manifold had better low end torque and the first gen 2.4l had better top end

yes i ran with it untuned for about about 2 months then got it dyno tuned when you first install it the idle sits around 1200 rpm and after driving for a day or so the idle returned to normal

So why did you decide to get the tune if it adjusted and ran fine? Was it just not enough of an improvement ? I've got a k&n cai, zzp high flow tube, shorty header, magnaflow high flow cat, and 3" catback, never tuned just well maintained and never had a code. I'm just wondering if this mod would relieve my final restriction or if I really wanna pay 1100-1400 at the closest tuner
