Are there literally any differences?

O8 has 167 lb-ft of torque 07 has 163 lb-ft of torque, Sport emblems instead of SS, and I think the 08 has 2 cats on the downpipe where as the 07 only has 1.

No major differences then? I'm pretty sure the exterior/interior (minus badging) is identical

Intake manifold is different -- 08 Sport 2.4L has a smaller 2-piece intake manifold while the 06-07 SS 2.4 has a larger 1-piece intake manifold. Also, the throttle bodies are not the same part number.

Where the hell is "the member that shall not be named" when you need him to argue how they are the exact same car. when clearly they are not.

I'm not following you guys. Explain how they're so different? The only difference I know is is the badging, and the ecu...they are the same car. It's slightly different because it's the next year. I'd see no problem putting a pretty SS badge on my sport. The only reason they even called it the sport is because they wanted the ss/tc to be the only "SS" for the year.

Looks the same, performs the same (if not slightly better on the low end) I don't understand the hostility

don't put different badges on your car, or call it an ss simply because it's not an ss. doesn't matter if it's a similar car, or not. i knew this was what it was coming to, but was hoping for hte best

i just don't get why peole are so insecure with the badging that they want to put other badges. it's always the lower models that want the badges, and body kits to look like the other cars. most sc guys take the damn badges off, but the 2.2's and 2.4's want the badges. just always seemed odd to me.

I'm not a lower model than a 2.4 SS, if anything my like 3 extra ftlbs of torque make me a teeeny bit better. So from your viewpoint, I'd want the lower model's badges? The hostility is seriously not required though...

Why would I need a body kit? SAME exterior. If I badged my car as an SS none of you would even notice until I told you it was an '08.

Dude what you want to do is like taking a 1991 Camaro Z-28 and slapping IROC-Z stickers and **** all over it and saying it's still a Camaro and thisone has more HP so I"m actually better then the IROC-Z so what's the problem with it...I"ll tell you what the problem is...THEY DIDN'T FRIGGIN MAKE THE IROC IN 91 AND IN YOUR CASE THEY DIDN'T FRIGGIN MAKE THE SS/NA IN 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously if you need to pur "SS" badges all over your car to make yourself feel complete then you need to shoot yourself...

Way to take it too far dude. I'm doing it anyway, because I truly don't see the problem. Is there such thing as friendly feedback on this website? I know I don't feel better about myself attacking complete strangers, but whatever floats your boat...

lol. our 08's dont have a front lip, and the rear bumper is different from the ss/sc and ss/tc. SO... we would know that it wasnt a ss/sc even with the SS badges.

I'm not trying to make it look like an sc or tc... I'm saying that it's almost identical to the 07 2.4's in every way. We're both LE5's with the same body kit.

Yes you are. That's like putting Civic Si badges on a base model Civic...You will be driving Domestic Rice.

I was completely unaware that there were rice patties in Loardstown Ohio...

I was referring to the "shoot yourself" thing, as if my car (material possession) could make my life complete with 3 little shiny badges, as if I'm a pathetic person.

Dude! How is that like a base model with an Si tag? They don't have the same power/engine! And they look completely different. That'd be like saying my sport was the same thing as an ls.

The 90 IROC-Z and the 91 Z-28 were identical in every way as well. Same body style, same motors, same everything. The 91 had slightly more power. It's exactly what youre describing that you want to do to your car...

yah there is a bigger difference between a civic si and a base civic than a 07 ss and a 08 sport...
