I have a 2.4 auto and my best 1/4 is I think a 16.32 at 83mph, but I still haven't learned how to launch it right. Only mod is GMPP touring exhaust.

It's very unique and loud. The flowmaster makes it real deep. Love setting off car alarms in the parking lot.

i'm running 93 octane Shell V Power gas, tire pressure ranging from 28-35 lbs, and run the same time at two different tracks. Maybe that nitrogen in the tires is making me too heavy I'll be getting a dyno tune soon, and I'm hoping GM just REALLY fudged the tune on it from the factory. Lol, can I bring it back and say "Hey, my car's slower than it's supposed to be, I demand a faster one!"?

Are you launching in "L" and then shifting to "I"? I understand that if you leave it in "D" you get earlier, slower shifts. Others have said that the cheapest improvement in 1/4 mile time with the auto is either HPTuning the shift points or using the shift reprogramming box (I had one but never got around to installing it before trading off the Cobalt). Also, are you torque-stall launching it? You do need to have a good understanding of the process so you don't hurt something, but holding the brake and taking the "slack" our of the torque converter prior to the green is also worth a few tenths.
