2.4 Ecu ?

I'm using a 2.4 ecotec in a sand rail and need to know if the ECU can be programmed to bypass the drive by wire? If not I'm trying to find out what generation Ecotec does not have drive by wire and if that ECU can be Flashed and reprogrammed to work on the 2.4 ecotech. Thanks

As far as I know, all the ecotecs use drive by wire. You might look at the caviliers with the 2.2 ecotecs but as far as the 2.4 goes... They use drive by wire.

You could contact ATVRacing. They run an Ecotec in one of their sand cars, they might have some info they would share.

Another option is detailed in GM's build book, around page 76.

Hope these help, good luck............

ALL 2.4L Ecotecs use drive by wire.

If you use on older ECM you will not be able to use it on the 2.4L as there have been some changes in the ingition system and VVT has been added.

You may be able to keep the drive by wire if you get the gas pedal assembly as well?
