Soon as you get measurements, get back to me, im curious as to how they compare to what I had bought. The LSA i find puzzling because stock LSA is 130 on those cams.

1.4mm off the base circle (stock is 30mm) you should be perfect with the ZZP stage 2 lash adjusters, id run them on both sides IMO. That's good that they were able to maintain that on the exhaust cam as well. My exhaust cam was measuring in at 27.3mm on the base circle which is what lead to the premature cam wear and the monstrous ticking noise I had even with the ZZP s2 lash adjusters. Which is why I wound up sending them back to delta, not only that, they refused to give me any specs on opening and closing events.

If your engine sounds like this after installing them, you will know.

Would love more aggressive cams. But picked up an LNF exhaust cam. Just going to run that. Let the sc make up the rest of the power

I'm curious about the kind of oil you used (pre-rebuild) to get that much sludge buildup.

From the records I have on the car, nothing but walmart service center oil changes for the past 126,000 miles. lol That's the reason why as soon as I bought the car I serviced everything, including the trans.

sludge is created from not getting the oil hot enough to burn the moisture from the oil. a lot of short trips will cause it and all oils will create sludge

Yup... all my GM documents (build book, Bill Duncan, numerous spec sheets, etc.) claim they came with forged connecting rods.

If it's wrong I want to hear Johns (mrB) take on it.

Actually, you can build an le5 to around 350 hp before you even drop it in the car. Look up Roush Ecotec. It's not really news anymore. I'm just happy to finally see somebody doing this **** correctly, instead of just boosting everything. I'll be coming into money in the near future, and I'm now physically disabled, so I cant really turn a wrench anymore, so I'll be having someone do the build for me. This engine is the best platform available. Honestly, I would rather have a 4.3 Vortec in my Cobalt, honestly. With RWD. Maybe a 4.3 Ecotec? Since I don't have that much money, guess I'll have to make due.
