Cobalt SS Sedan Guys. What did you pay for...
your car out the door???? There is no other forum i can think to put this on. I was going to get a brand new 06 like 19100 out the door and now they had 07s on clearance and there are about 20 brand new 06 cobalt ss sedans in lots by me so im going to try to get a better deal on one again.
With 0 percent financing, 1k cash back im hoping i can get a dealer to just take a loss and do the car for 15k out the door.

Well when I got mine I worked for GM and I had $9000 worth of trade in but it ran me $9grand out the door so I'd say your in the right ball park.
What options does it have? Mines loaded excpt for leather and the CD changer. But I also have the extra cost sport red paint.

Yeah, well I'm not sure they sold all their 2003 Pontiac Aztecz either, but you don't see them on the lot any more.
I wasn't joking - some 2006's would be going on nearly two years old. Maybe I'm just blind or stupid but I haven't seen any on the lots ...
And if you did find one, I would try to talk them at least 4k under the value of an 07? Hell, surely they want to sell the thing. The 07's do have the Corvette steering wheel, though.

Not a Sebring
My '07 2.4SS coupe, of which I ordered and had to wait 2 months back in Aug '06, w/ leather, curtain airbags and a sunroof cost me $21,500 after taxes and all that jazz.

Got mine for about 14.1k out the door in April. I have an '06 SS 2.4L that's fully loaded (every option except XM and Side curtain airbags). I did the same thing you did. Just go in there with a price you have in mind. They're going to want to move the inventory. The dealership I went to ended up not coming down the the price I wanted, we haggled a bit then I left without the car. That was Saturday. On Monday, they called me and made me an offer for ~$500 more than my previous price and I took it.
Believe me, the old inventory is the BEST deal you can get if you're looking into buying a new car. Why pay $21k+ for a 2007 when you could get the exact same thing for under $15k?

About $5K less than I got in trade for it a year later!
Hey, 'lope! You have a new sig pic! Don't know if that set-up would make a jackalope fast, or just VERY happy!

if you buy the 06 have them service the recall before you pic it up.
i ordered my 07 coupe last november. it was built and shiped by new year. purchased it for 19.2 the day before new years eve. options include sunroof and side airbags.
also i had a 5 g downpayment and since then have been making 1k a month payments.
good luck with wichever you buy!

only problem with buying a year old new car is you tend to get the "whats left" cars which typically leaves the fuglie colors and the lame packages you know brown G5's with 2.2 ecos and special veloure interriors and an especially unattractive Dealership grafix kit and those sweet ass hubcaps. @ least thats how it is in Chi town.

Although that is true, the 2.4L Sedans aren't terribly popular to start with. There were a TON of Red and Black 2.4s left on the lot when I was doing my searching in April. Red and black aren't (to me) the fugly colors. I LOVE black cars, although I was hoping for a blue 'balt, I was willing to make the sacrifice (which it really isn't a sacrifice, just a concession) to get black for the $6k price difference from an '07.
and that sucks even more
