Engine Knock

So if the cobalt sits for a day or two and then I go to start it up, I hear this loud knocking noise for about 10 sec then it goes away. I was thinking a sticky lifter? Another told me it was piston slap?

ideas?
fixes?

It's not piston slap, if it were your engine would barely run. It's probably just top end noise maybe lifters I wouldn't worry about it though. If you really care they make oil additives that say they sure the problem.

All the oil drains to the bottom so im assuming its pretty normal.

If youre at all worried then you could unplug your injector harness and turn the car over to prime the oil system.

Kind of what I figured, its never affected how it runs or drives. And since it only lasts a few moments I figured the top end was just dry but worth asking about.

Thanks!
