exhuast

confused about the high flow catdownpipe and a cat back exhuast. Is best to have both(which I would think) or just a reg exhuast with a highflow cat or a reg downpipe with a cat back exhuast. Seems like to many cats lol, was not sure if they where going to benifit eachother or work against eachother if both had cats on them

Note: You shouldn't buy a catalytic converter thinking it's really high flow, cause they aren't any different than your stock catalytic converter, that's why they are 50 state legal. The only reason to buy a so called "high flow cat" is to keep the same diameter as the rest of your exhaust system so it's not a bottleneck.

well, either way you'll only have 1 cat. and of course the lest restriction, the better the flow, which ='s more power. so you don't HAVE to do a downpipe/catback combo, but it would be better than just a downpipe or just a catback

SO Your Saying THeirs A chance!!!!!
nah so basically according to what exhuast I would be getting would tell me what size or type of downpipe I would need, And if I was to get a exhuast on a stock downpipe their would be more retriction of air flow due to "bottleneck" on the pipe
Now I think I under stand it a lil better thanks fellas

yep. just make sure all your exhaust parts you buy are the same size. like don't get a 3" downpipe and a 2.5" catback.

right because it would defeat the purpose of retricted air right
